🚨 The vehicle crashed into an SUV after being stopped by strike sticks

🚨 The driver was wanted on a warrant out of Philadelphia


 

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP — The pursuit of a "suspicious vehicle" ended with a violent crash on Thanksgiving night.

Lower Makefield police were called to the Polo Run neighborhood and encountered a vehicle that sped off.  A brief pursuit was broken off and picked up by other departments.

The pursuit ended in Morrisville on Trenton Avenue at Delmorr Avenue (Route 32) near the Calhoun Street Bridge when police successfully used spike strips to flatten the car's tires. It also struck an SUV carrying seven people.

The individuals in the SUV were checked over by first responders. No injuries were reported.

The suspicious vehicle turned out to be stolen, according to police. The driver was wanted on a warrant out of Philadelphia, according to police. He was hospitalized to receive stitches.

Police did not disclose the identity of the driver.
