BRISTOL — A woman was sexually attacked on a nature trail in broad daylight Saturday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The woman was walking on the Delaware Canal Towpath near Hanes and Edgerly roads around 2 p.m. when a male stranger approached her and sexually assaulted her. Afterward, the man ran off.
Employees of a nearby pizza shop told 6 ABC Action News the woman came inside to call 911. She was taken to a hospital.
Police did not disclose a description of the suspect.

State Police seek information
State Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the Troop M Trevose Criminal Investigation Unit at 215-942-3900 and reference Incident Number PA2026-737021.
The towpath is a nearly 60-mile-long path part of the state park system that runs between Easton and Bristol.
