NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Bucks County park will remain closed on Monday following the recovery of a park ranger whose kayak capsized.

Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said the body of Alec Campbell was found Sunday. The Bucks County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death. Tyler State Park will reopen on Tuesday when flags across the state fly at half-staff in his honor per the order of Gov. Josh Shapiro.

“I’ve spoken with his wife and family, and on behalf of all of us at DCNR, I want them to know they are in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Our hearts go out to them, as well as to Alec’s friends, loved ones, and colleagues," DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn said in a statement.
