BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was found dead after a trailer fire late Friday afternoon.

Firefighters responding to the fire at Ridge Trailer Park in Bensalem and found a trailer fully engulfed in flames which speard to an adjacent home around 5 p.m., according to Bemsalem police. A prelimnary investigation determined the fire started in the living room.

Joseph Stadler, 45, was located dead inside the trailer once firefighters were able to enter. One firefighter was treated and released from Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for smoke inhalation while battling the blaze. Police did not disclose if he was the only one inside the home at the time of the fire.

The home where the fire started was determined to be a total loss. The adjacent home suffered significant damage, according to poilice. The Red Cross was assisting residents displaced by the fire.
