Three thieves breaking into the Exxon station on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning and were gone in 30 seconds with cash and vapes, police say.
The small plane was detected in the sky between New Hope and Doylestown around 10 a.m. sending the jets towards it, the North American Aerospace Defense Command told The New Hope Free Press in a statement.
Flames were visible from the left side of the building known as the 1820 Magill School House on South Main Street in Doylestown Borough as firefighters arrived Thursday morning before dawn.
Doylestown Borough on its Facebook page Saturday night wrote that the failure to a "critical piece of infrastructure" plus the impact of the ongoing repainting project at the Maplewood water tank led to the request.
Buckingham police said the call in a distorted voice was received by the school nurse's office around 1:30 p.m. demanding a cash ransom to stop a shooting.
