Shot fired into floor by Warrington, Pa. man cleaning gun — cops
WARRINGTON, Pa. — A man cleaning his gun accidentally fired a shot through the floor and into his downstairs neighbor's condo unit Sunday night.
According to an affidavit obtained by the Bucks County Courier Times the shot came thorough the ceiling of a condo unit on Redbud Court in Warrington, Pa. and bounced off the kitchen floor around 10 p.m. The resident pulled the bullet out of the wall and called police. He said he was standing near the wall as it was struck.
Scott Zielinski, 49, of Warrington faces charges of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and two charges of recklessly endangering another person, according to the criminal docket.
Police said that Zielinski appeared to be intoxicated when they spoke to him, according to the Courier Times. Zielinski told police that he did not check on his neighbor after the shot was fired.
Zielinski is free on bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 16, according to the criminal docket.
