TULLYTOWN, Pa. — A $5,000 reward is being offered to find whoever threw a dog from a moving car and left it along the side of the road.
Tullytown police said the dog was thrown while the car traveled on Old Bristol Pike just over the border with Tullytown on Tuesday evening and did not stop. Police are looking for witnesses as well as dash camera footage and surveillance video to determine the driver's identity.
"This act is not only cruel but criminal. We are actively working to identify the individual(s) responsible and to determine the ownership of the dog involved. Charges will be pursued against anyone found to be involved in this incident," police wrote on their Facebook page. "Acts of animal cruelty will not be tolerated in or around our community."

The Bucks County SPCA said its veterinarian found that the dog suffered minor wounds because of the throw and may also have pre-existing medical conditions. They are concerned the dog may have experienced cruel treatment prior to being thrown from the vehicle.
