🚨 The ranger was identified as a 38-year-old man from Delaware County

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A search is underway for a missing park ranger in Tyler Park.

State Police say the Park Resource Ranger with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources was on the Neshaminy Creek around 12:30 p.m. when his kayak capsized. 6 ABC Action News reported the ranger was tying place a buoy at a dam.

The ranger was identified only as a 38-year-old man from Delaware County.

Tyler State Park is closed until further notice.

A number of Bucks County marine units, dive teams and fire fighters are assisting in the search in the rough waters of the creek.
