🚨Police said a "significant" amount of cash was stolen

🚨The entire robbery was caught on video

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A large amount of money was stolen from the parked SUV of an employee of Prime Check Cashing Friday afternoon.

Falls Township police Lt. Chris Clark said the thieves pulled up to the back of the store on Lincoln Highway just before 4 p.m. They smashed the window of the SUV and removed duffel bags containing the cash. The suspects left in a white Ford Econoline van with PA license plate ZWS 6010. The plate is not registered to the van.

The amount of cash stolen was initially believed to be over one million dollars, police told LevttownNow.com.  Because of a language issue, the actual amount taken was found to be far less during additional investigation.

Clark told said the amount stolen was "significant."

Kicking their way in

Video of security footage posted by LevittownNow.com shows two men getting out of the van and first trying to pry out the front passenger's side window before kicking and punching out the window. They then reached in and removed the bags from the front seat, got back in the van and drove off.

One of the suspects was wearing a gray hoodie while the other a dark jacket and  baseball cap. Both were wearing surgical masks.

Clark asked anyone with information to contact the assigned investigator, Det. Christopher Iacono, at 215-949-9104. Information may also be provided anonymously at 215-949-9120, or via email at tiplines@fallstwppd.com.
